It only took 11 years, but we’re finally here!
We’re planning a unique and non-traditional day full of laughter,
fun and good food and we can’t wait to share this day with our closest friends and family.
Please join us to celebrate the wedding that has been over a decade in the making!
Both the ceremony and reception will be held on the beautiful grounds of Abbeville Estate (see below for directions).
Our timeline will be a little different to what you’d expect...
To kick off our non-traditional day, please join both of us in the courtyard for drinks and canapes.
We’ll all head inside to enjoy a delicious seated dinner prepared by The Great Catering Co.
As the autumn sun sets we’ll exchange vows outside under Abbeville’s famous puriri tree. Cross your fingers for good weather!
Sweet-tooths that we are, dessert will be the first meal we share as an officially married couple!
Now all that's done with ...let’s dance! *Cue party music*
The heritage-listed buildings and landscaped grounds of Abbeville Estate are over 150 years old and have been meticulously restored and contemporised. The estate is comprised of the Homestead - built in 1854 - church and barn as well as the beautifully manicured gardens. Close to the airport and other amenities, Abbeville is a convenient location for those coming from out of town.
An economical family friendly hotel located minutes from both the airport and Abbeville. The Ibis Budget offers low priced, simple, bright and modern rooms.
Our awesome bridal support crew!
While you are more that welcome to take photos both before and after the ceremony, we ask that everyone leave their phones behind and enjoy the moment during the “I dos”.
There is free parking available on the grounds of Abbeville Estate. The carpark is located on the right hand side of the driveway.
While we don't have a dress code we hope that everyone will be comfortable in semi-formal attire. Ladies, our ceremony will be outdoors so choose your footwear accordingly!
Unless specifically stated, our wedding will be adults only. We want you to be able to enjoy yourselves without worrying what your little ones are getting into.
Gifts are not necessary. If you would like to contribute something we’d be more than happy to accept donations to the travel fund - we’ll have a card table available on the day.
Please respond with your attendance as soon as possible, but no later than 28 Feb 2018.
We will have an open bar with beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks available.
We hope that you’ll be able to celebrate with us long into the night. Abbeville staff will be on the bar until midnight (or until we run out!).
To help us keep to our budget we ask that only those mentioned in the invitation above attend.
